Special Bubbles (スペシャルバブル Supesharu Babaru?) are a unique type of bubbles that appear in the Bubble Bobble series. Special Bubbles can be popped to release a special power, such as shooting lightning or releasing a torrent that flows throughout the level. There are multiple types of Special Bubbles, but three types usually appear in every game: Thunder, Water, and Fire. Special Bubbles also appear in the Puzzle Bobble series, but are usually completely different from the Special Bubbles in the main series.
