Rainbow Village (レインボーヴィレッジ Reinbō Virejji?) is the hometown of Bub and Bob, located on Rainbow Island. It plays a role in many games in the Bubble Bobble series, though it was usually only seen in cutscenes or mentioned in passing, remaining unnamed until Puzzle Bobble Everybubble!, where the village made its first proper appearance.
Near the village lies the Rainbow Tower, which holds the Rainbow Potion within. The Book of Bubble is also kept in the village. The Magician's Forest is located at its outskirts.
Description[]
Rainbow Village is a town where all the inhabitants live peacefully together. Most, if not all, of the town's inhabitants appear to be human. Befitting its name, the village's buildings are rather colorful, and come in a variety of shapes, with some resembling castles, palaces, and mushrooms.
In Bubble Memories, the village is shown to be rather large and extravagant in nature. It is unknown if the buildings depicted in Bubble Memories are all intended to be part of Rainbow Village, as later games establish there to be more than one town on the island.
Puzzle Bobble Everybubble depicts a more quaint side of the village, still possessing the colorful houses with whimsical shapes, but with a large amount of greenery and natural life shown within it as well.
Bub and Bob's house is stated to be in the village, though its appearance differs greatly between the small number of games in which it has appeared, and the surrounding village is not shown in any of these appearances.

Bub and Bob's hometown is first mentioned in the manual for Bubble Bobble, in which it is stated to be a peaceful village located near the Magician's Forest. Bubby, Bobby, Betty, and Patty are all stated to live in the village.

In the Game Boy version of Bubble Bobble, Bubby and Bobby's hometown is given the name Samito Village (サミート村 Samīto-mura?), and is stated to be near a wooded area known as Nemonemo Forest, which is home to the spring of the Moon Water. The village is seen briefly in the ending of the game.
Puzzle Bobble[]
Bub and Bob's home village is referenced once again in the manual of the console version of Puzzle Bobble, in which its treasure, the Book of Bubble, goes missing, causing all of the villagers to search for it. However, numerous monsters surrounded in mysterious bubbles proceed to attack the village, causing the brothers to deduce that someone has stolen the book and is abusing its magic, with the two then setting out to reclaim the treasure and defeat the culprit.

In the game's story, Bub, Bob, Peb, and Pab exit their homes, discovering that the village has been flooded with bubbles blown uncontrollably by the Miniroons, who mysteriously recieved the ability after drinking a potion given to them by a mysterious hooded wizard. The four notice that Chack'n has been trapped inside of one of the bubbles, and set out to rescue him. After freeing their friend, the four decide to set out across Rainbow Island to try and discover the cause of the Miniroons' affliction.
