Rainbow Islands Evolution, known as New Rainbow Islands: Hurdy Gurdy Daibōken!! (ＮＥＷレインボーアイランド ハーディガーディ大冒険！！ Nyū Reinbō Airando Hādi Gādi Daibōken?, "New Rainbow Islands: Hurdy Gurdy Great Adventure!!") in Japan, is a game released by Marvelous Interactive for the PlayStation Portable, under license from Taito. It stars Bubby and Bobby, who must magical rainbow-creating hurdy gurdies to fight against the influence of Million Records, a company releasing mass-produced soulless music which has a catastrophic effect on the ecosystem of the Rainbow Islands, causing the plant life to wither and wildlife to mutate and become hostile towards humans.
