Bubble Bobble Wiki

Gargo (がーご Gāgo?) is a character appearing in Puzzle Bobble 2. He is the first opponent fought in the game's Practice Mode.

Gargo is a ghostly chameleon whose head is wrapped in bandages, and wears a pointed green hat. He has a green torso as well, though it is unclear whether or not this is his body or simply a garment he is wearing, but it appears to be hollow. Gargo has yellow hands and feet that appear as if they are floating, as he does not possess any visible limbs, as well as a long red tongue.

Supplemental material for Puzzle Bobble 2 states that under his bandages, Gargo is allegedly very handsome, though it is noted that it is unknown whether or not this is actually true.

Gargo's personality is not particularly well-defined, though in his voice lines he is solely depicted as only speaking his own name.

Being a chameleon, Gargo is apparently able to disguise himself, though supplemental material for Puzzle Bobble 2 states that he has failed at this task. He is also able to utilize his long tongue to lick things from a distance.

Puzzle Bobble 2[]

Gargo first appears in Puzzle Bobble 2 as the first opponent fought in the game's Practice Mode. Before the match, he jumps toward Bub and licks him, causing him to fall over in surprise. Gargo is a secret playable character in the console version's Puzzle Mode, unlocked by entering a code on the map screen.

Puzzle Bobble 3[]

Gargo has a small cameo in Puzzle Bobble 3, appearing in the form of a capsule toy in the background of Priccio's stage.
