Trivia[]

  • The Special Bubble is informally referred to as the "MTJ Ball" in reference to Mitsuji's pseudonym. The "MTJ Ball" design is present as an extremely rare and powerful item in most games Mitsuji worked on while at Taito, including Rainbow Islands (as the Rainbow Special item), Halley's Comet, Syvalion, and Volfied.
  • Entering "MTJ" into the high score table in Bubble Bobble will cause the Cola item to spawn in later gameplay.
  • Round 2 of Bookshelf Forest in the hard mode of Bubble Bobble 4 Friends features a tribute to Mitsuji, with the terrain of the level arranged to spell "Dedicated to MTJ".
