Don Dolcen (ドン・ドルチェン Don Doruchen?) is a character appearing in Bubble Bobble Sugar Dungeons. He is a mysterious sweet-loving figure who transports Bub from Rainbow Island to his laboratory located in another world in order to have him collect treasures throughout a series of dungeons and castles, sending a robot of his own creation known as Ammie along with Bub in order to guide him. However, he seems to have a hidden reason for sending Bub on the mission.
Etymology[]
Don Dolcen's name comes from the Italian word dolce, meaning "sweet", which is used as both an adjective and a noun in order to refer to both the flavor and desserts in general. Furthermore, "Don" is an honorific title of respect often used in the Italian language.
