The Cannon (砲台 Hōdai?), also known as the Beam Cannon (ビーム砲 Bīmu-Hō?) is the primary controllable character in the Taito arcade title Space Invaders. It is a laser cannon used to defend against the Invader hordes. It appears as an assist character in Bubble Symphony.
